Kaushil and Yuval’s Intimate Hindu-Jewish Wedding on Kent Island Resort

Most may not know it, but half of the Regeti’s are originally from Maryland’s beautiful Eastern Shore! So whenever we get a call to cover a private wedding on the shore, consider us running to be there! A few of my all-time favorites would be Mikel and David‘s private residence wedding, which will forever be classic with the great Amaryllis team at work, and Neal and Chayanika’s wedding beautiful Bengali wedding, to name one, and the unforgettable event with Dream Shaadi‘s event for Simran and Komal, (view more images) followed by Sagina Wahi of SW Events celebration with the family of Julia and Tarak – the love of the shore never grows old. However, the Historic Kent Island Resort is now a great contender for South Asian weddings on the Eastern Shore. The Regeti’s cannot wait to see this location ever more as it is truly a gem after its renovation and improvements – absolutely stunning and breathtaking to see the mandap with the fields as a backdrop to the serene setting of a Hindu wedding followed by cocktails on the lawn and a beautiful rustic barn reception. It definitely has stolen this country girl’s heart as a top location for weddings.
Now let’s get back to Khaushil and Yuval’s wedding day, I want to say there were less than 20-30 guests, and this wedding was planned in a short time span to honor their Hindu customs as well as Yuval’s Jewish customs. The most heartbreaking part of it all was to see that some families were separated from their guest lists due to the ongoing war and the fact some husbands/fathers/sons were unable to leave. It made this a double-sanctified ceremony that was much more heartfelt as life at the moment suddenly had a larger magnitude of preciousness to it that every one of us present could appreciate.
May you and your families forever appreciate and cherish one another, and remember that you’ll always have one another, no matter where your lives intersect on the globe.
