Alisha + Saqeb – Engagement Session in Georgetown – Washington DC

It was an amazing an expensive engagement session with Alisha and Saqeb in Georgetown as we perused the streets. The expensive part on behalf of the reason that our 200mm lens hit the ground at the canals while attached to it body causing us to reinvest in a new body and the repair of an irreplaceable lens, all the while it was so worth every penny of it!

Alisha and Saqeb are none other than that of stunning in front of the camera as they photograph with such ease. It was obvious to us how comfortable the two of them are with one another as we quickly settled into shoot mode.

Saqeb is the perfect antidote to the nervousness that can sometimes revolve around a photo shoot with his cool, calm and collected attitude. Alisha herself brings with her an eloquence and grace allowing us to capture a bulk of amazing shots in such a short period of time as these two love birds rocked the chill of the Georgetown air!

For me, it was the outsider who somehow became the interpreter — the person South Asian brides turn to when they’re carrying more than they can say out loud.

It’s taken nearly 30 years inside this culture, loving it, learning it, laughing with it, and growing through it…
but I wouldn’t trade a single lesson.
