Lauren and Manoj’s Engagement Session at the Lincoln Memorial and Constitution Gardens in Washington DC

I would say that at least 70-80% of our annual wedding bookings come from past weddings where either the client themselves refers, a family member we came into contact with at the wedding itself refers, or a to-be bride was at the wedding and approached me for our business card because she absolutely loved how we approached the day, managed the family photos and then of course later had the opportunity to go through all the images of her friends/family members wedding and was shocked at not only all that was delivered but at the fact that she felt she genuinely relived it in real-time in such an authentic way. Those are the clients we know when they come to us, and we have had all the evidence presented to them that shows that our experience in the market has come through much participation and active participation in each of our events. It’s that bride when she walks away and I don’t hear from her again that hurts the most, but thankfully, Lauren pushed for me. It seems she was in my corner every step of the way, wanting us to cover her wedding – her referral was strong because not only was the planner backing us, but we photographed Manoj’s cousin’s wedding well over a decade ago, and we are loved by the venue. The toughest part was convincing Manoj’s mom why she should splurge…. but in the end, she reached out for the contract and signed with us as part of their wedding dream team of vendors. And thankfully so, because just the week off, we were able to snag some quick time with these two only after Manoj’s shoe fiasco, where he bought shoes right before his session only to realize they gave him two different shoes and he had to run back and resolve the issue all right before his session with us. I guess for this session, it became “All about the shoes” for him, and we hope that for both, all the stress was worth it as they photographed beautifully alongside Lauren 🙂

After this session, we were filled with anticipation, knowing that the photos from the wedding would be even more stunning once the Mandap was ready!
