With Trishna and Tejas’ wedding day to say we all had an early start at the Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel for her grand Indian, Gujarati style wedding really would be an understatement. For some I don’t know when they even took rest, like Sumeet and his team over at Dream Shaadi. Around the clock with decor, food, accommodations, guests needs there simply wasn’t time for that 🙂 Thankfully the weather cooperated and the Baltimore sun shined down on us all!
You cannot help after spending this much time with a family to truly feel part of it every step of the way. When Trishna called me the first time the connection was instantaneous and we were a perfect fit. If I can say one thing about Indian events in general, there are so many types of families and so many bride’s that have different personalities and believe it or not there’s a photographer in our area for each one of them. For Srinu and I since we only take a max of 20 events per year it’s so important that given the amount of time we typically spend at our events that we are the right fit. Throughout the year we receive over 120 inquiries and each one is unique in their needs but within there are a handful of little gems where the brides truly respect, appreciate and know that in the end they are in search of having images that truly represent who they are and the emotions present on their wedding day. Of course, portraits are a must, we all know that but in-between those posed portraits, the speeches and the performances our clients want to see the reactions of others when they think no one is watching and truly document their day as it unfolds. In order for us to do what we do there is a mutual trust and a given understanding that our clients know that when we arrive we have it covered and will document their day as if it were our own.
Srinu and I had unique circumstances during our own marriage and I think because of that we tend to approach each wedding we shoot as if it were our own, what we would want and the vigilance we would want present in our photographer when shooting. None the less the added measure that we know Indian weddings bring a little bit of their own special chaos and we always prepared to manage it every step of the way! In addition we always offer an extra measure of insurance as we truly love our engagement sessions as we complimentary hand them out as a double-date since it allows us to have a little extra bonding time with our couples.
Can’t remember for sure but the morning I believe kicked off a little around 5am and went until midnight or so for us!
