I was able to catch up with Renu and her parents at the Panera in Tyson’s corner as her flight arrived in from California in the early morning, which allowed her to fit us into her already crazy schedule of weekend wedding planning during her short trip in. It was almost as if before even meeting us that she already knew she wanted us to cover her wedding day. As a wedding photographer this is one of the greatest feelings leaving a consultation, knowing that you have touched a client in such a moving way that once you’ve met it was simply reassuring that it was a perfect fit for both.
It wasn’t till the wedding day that we finally were able to meet Sameer, but the feeling was just the same. One of my favorite shots from the day at North Bethesda Marriott was their family formal photograph, to be honest – typically family formals, though ~The Regeti’s~ always try to rock them, aren’t the first favorite part of the day. I guess maybe because as wedding photographers I love getting to know the dynamics of our families and become part of everyone’s day, not just the Bride and Groom themselves.
The weather cooperated long enough to finished up some couples photos just as it started to rain, but by this point we were just thrilled that we were able to get them in. For Renu and Sameer’s wedding reception it went by so quickly because the speeches and dance performances filled the night till dinner, followed by some serious dance moves!
