Christian Ceremony Kerala Style: For Sarah and Michael

Not to discount any of our past or present Indian clients/weddings (because we love you all!) till now, but Sarah’s beauty on the outside is 10x as beautiful on the inside…. like her girlfriend Kirti whom referred her to us Sarah’s presence is infectious to all that she blesses with her presence, from her smile to her character her personality and excitement about life, love and laughter is one we could all learn to live from. It is impossible not to love them both!

But honestly what are the chances that she would have been able to find a love just as pure as her very own heart? Against all odds she did… thus enters the fabulous Michael! We are hoping that their love infects many near and far as they move on in their lives together, both with degrees that they are sure to use to make a mark on the world many times over again. Blessed with families that as you can see from the images are so close that it is only the air they breathe that separates them from one another.

The most touching of all for me throughout their wedding day was the speech that was given by one of Michael’s brother’s.. the youngest I believe although Michael can correct me if I am wrong as it has taken us forever to get this blog post up and we have just been tourturing Sarah I am for sure…

He said… and I quote “My brother tickled me so much that I became permanently happy!” … that to me was so powerful and just confirms everything that I stated above is not done so in over exaggeration. Another thing he stated was a quote from that of Mother Teresa… although I could not remember all of it to quote it nor could I locate it to quote it … it went a little like this….

As mothers we tend to sacrifice ourselves for those we love around us putting ourselves last. That leaves me with hope that when our children are grown they are with similar morals and values.

With four of our own still growing this also can only be our hope that the work that is spent today will cash into millions once our children have grown, just as it appears to have done with Sarah and Michael.

Just for sentiments sake, here are some quotes that I love from Mother Teresa that are reflected through Michael and Sarah… and quite fitting since I am currently residing in India for a short period of time….

“Do not think that love, in order to be genuine, has to be extraordinary. What we need is to love without getting tired.”

“Even the rich are hungry for love, for being cared for, for being wanted, for having someone to call their own. ”

“Do not think that love, in order to be genuine, has to be extraordinary. What we need is to love without getting tired.”

For the patience that Michael and Sarah have had in waiting for this blog post I hope this will hold them over for just a short while till the rest of their images are soon available!

Here’s the quiet truth no one tells guests before an Indian or Indian-American wedding:

You’re not just watching.
You’re participating.
Not with choreography or rituals — but with presence.

Indian weddings move differently.
They breathe differently.
They carry meaning in moments that don’t announce themselves.

When guests arrive expecting efficiency, cues, or constant explanation, tension builds — and the couple feels it.

What actually matters?
Respect.
Patience.
Openness.
That’s it.

This post isn’t about rules or etiquette.
It’s about showing up with curiosity instead of expectations — and why that one shift changes everything for the couple at the center of it all.

There’s what you see on wedding day.
And then there’s everything that makes us the photographers we are.

This channel is where we share the in-between —
the building, the learning, the late nights,
the marriage that has carried us through nearly two decades of photographing other people’s love stories.

We’re still very much in weddings.
Still shooting.
Still telling stories.
Still showing up for our couples.
But here, you’ll also see how we live, work, problem-solve, and grow together behind the camera —
because who we are off a wedding day shapes how we show up on one.

If you’re planning a wedding,
work in the wedding industry,
or simply love honest conversations about partnership, creativity, and building a life together —
you’ll fit right in.
