Maternity Session – Being comfortable with the skin you are in!

One of our past clients from Ohio called us up while out in Tampa and told us that she wanted to document her pregnancy now that she is expecting and will be due soon. We spoke a little about what she had in mind and where she would like to go with her session. As many know we are pretty strict about who and in what context we will shoot. We talked a bit more once she arrived about how her husband has viewed the pregnancy and the changes that have over taken her tiny little frame. When they both came to the conclusion that it just had to be captured and cherished forever. Being a mother of four nobody could possibly understand more the changes that one can endure during the months of pregnancy. Having worked with this client in the past she was simply just comfortable with us and as you can see trusted us in every aspect of the word. We were just in awe at the beauty and how serene the images came out.

For those of you overly offended by nudity/implied as we do not offer full nude shots unless they are implied. We suggest that you may want to refrain from the viewing of this post as everyone is entitled to their own opinion, we agree that to each is his own and that is your right. We have received permission from the client to post these few images in order to share with the world the beauty that is within this milestone of life.

Our sincerest wishes go out to both the to-be Mommy and Daddy, may your life be ever so blessed!

oh my goodness these are stunning, and remind me SO much of my own pregnancy portrait session, as I did very similiar poses! Stunning work.

Thank you SO much for the mentor session in Tampa, it was great to finally meet you both after all your previous help, and you have now give me more inspiration for 2008 Breathless at NMP!ReplyCancel

Living between two worlds isn’t easy — even after 30 years of it.

One thing I’ve learned being married into an Indian family is this:

You can love a culture deeply… without carrying the emotional weight of all its expectations.

Sometimes we take on roles — mediator, peacemaker, translator — simply because we’re the ones who “get it.”

But here’s your reset for the week:

You’re not responsible for holding everything together alone.
Not every misunderstanding needs your fixing.
Not every expectation needs your yes.

Ask yourself today:

“Is this mine to carry, or did I pick it up because I always do?”
New SAWL blog is live with a perspective only someone living between cultures can offer.

Start the week with clarity and intention. ✨ Link to BOOK can be found in BIO
