A Thanksgiving Birthday Love Letter

Today is one of those rare days that feels like it was placed on the calendar with intention — Thanksgiving and Srinu’s birthday joined together, reminding us to pause, breathe, and look around at what truly matters.

In a world that feels heavier than it should, where the news makes you wonder how much more people can take, today feels like a gentle nudge. A reminder that love still exists. Goodness still lives here. And that we are surrounded by more grace than we realize on the days we forget to notice it.

For us, that goodness shows up in one another — in the way we choose each other every morning, even when life comes at us sideways. It shows up in the family who doesn’t just share our name, but shares space with us, time with us, heart with us. The family who chooses to show up. That kind of presence matters more than perfection ever will.

Somewhere along the way, I learned that perfection was never what I once thought it was.
It isn’t polished.
It isn’t quiet.
It isn’t orderly.

Perfection is this messy, beautiful, learning-as-we-go life.
Perfection is the two of us holding onto each other through it all.
It’s the love we’ve built, the resilience we’ve earned, the gratitude that keeps rising back to the surface.

And at the center of it all — is him.

I am so deeply grateful that this man chose me to be his every day. That out of every possibility, every path, every turn life could’ve taken, we somehow ended up right here… together. And if we’re lucky enough to return again after this life, my only hope is that we keep finding each other — over and over — until we perfect whatever story the universe keeps writing for us.

Today we’ll gather with family, carve a Thanksgiving meal, and celebrate the birthday of the man who has been my constant in every season. Gratitude feels different this year. Fuller. Softer. Truer.
