It was fantastic to feel like we stepped back a moment in time for Debbie and her family’s fall portraits in Old Town Warrenton, Virginia. So much has changed for us over the years as the market has changed. We have grown from a small town studio doing professional headshots, global sessions for boudoirs, and international training of photographers on the method to our madness for boudoir marathons and name in which we single-handedly coined on our own, dipping into the local market of family and senior portraits sessions, editorial work for wedding mags, jet setting on destination weddings and being featured on ABC’s Nightline as a sign of the times and here we are still going strong. One of the greatest gifts being in the business we are in of weddings is that we have been so blessed to meet so many people who have supported, loved, and continue to connect us to so many more amazing people. Debbie is one of those we met along the way at the start of this incredible journey, as she owned this beautiful local bridal atelier shop. We connected at a Hunt Country Celebrations meeting, and the rest is pretty much history. Both busy parents with young kids, learning the ropes of running successful businesses in a community where there’s already such a tight-knit group of people that genuinely made you earn your way in through trust and loyalty in many ways. Here we are with grown college-bound kids, and we are reminded of how it felt like they were pre-K yesterday!
Seeing her and the family after such a long time was awesome, and I realized how nothing has changed but the hands of time. The girls reminded me that we are fun to hang with, and by the end of the session, they were enjoying every bit of being photographed by the Regeti’s 🙂 it was apparent that our love of what we do still shines through.
As a reminder to those of you out there who have not had a family session in some time, the time is now. Give us a ring. We would love to freeze a few moments for you and yours because one thing we cannot forget is that the hands on the clock never stop—but they do fall back. Don’t forget the time change today.
