It was a day when one looked up and thought if it would rain or shine, and as a photographer, you think to yourself, just make it through to the reception, and all will be fine! Thank the Lord above it did for Thrisha and Saketh’s beautiful traditional Telugu South Indian wedding ceremony and all the beautiful light that wrapped them in Riverview Ballroom.
You never realize just how much love and trust truly surrounds you in a community until you photograph the son’s wedding of one of the first people you friended when moving all the way across the world and starting a new journey just out of your teens, practically! You quickly realize the meaning of the bonds formed, the trust that is given, and the support that you have spent almost more than two decades growing and earning within a devoted, loving, and committed community. Srinu and I would be amiss if we did not acknowledge how we got to be amongst one of the top South Asian teams not only in the DMV but recognized on a global level. It is all of you, our loved ones, and clients alike, and we cannot thank you enough for that kind of love and loyalty – all of you know who you are, and you mean the world to us. In turn, we are always here to do the same.
So Saketh, Thrisha, and family, we hope that through our lens, we did your day the justice it so deserved as the weather waited till sunset to drop its happy, heartfelt tears to bless your day. To Sumeet and his team over at Dream Shaadi, we cannot commend you enough on your abilities to run a show no matter how large and putting all things in place, keeping all things in order and, of course, on time with a little buffer to spare, so here we go – hope you enjoy a little of what we have to share!

Here’s the quiet truth no one tells guests before an Indian or Indian-American wedding:
You’re not just watching. You’re participating. Not with choreography or rituals — but with presence.
Indian weddings move differently. They breathe differently. They carry meaning in moments that don’t announce themselves.
When guests arrive expecting efficiency, cues, or constant explanation, tension builds — and the couple feels it.
What actually matters? Respect. Patience. Openness. That’s it.
This post isn’t about rules or etiquette. It’s about showing up with curiosity instead of expectations — and why that one shift changes everything for the couple at the center of it all.

There’s what you see on wedding day. And then there’s everything that makes us the photographers we are.
This channel is where we share the in-between — the building, the learning, the late nights, the marriage that has carried us through nearly two decades of photographing other people’s love stories.
We’re still very much in weddings. Still shooting. Still telling stories. Still showing up for our couples. But here, you’ll also see how we live, work, problem-solve, and grow together behind the camera — because who we are off a wedding day shapes how we show up on one.
If you’re planning a wedding, work in the wedding industry, or simply love honest conversations about partnership, creativity, and building a life together — you’ll fit right in.

Christmas in America is culture as much as it is tradition 🤍
It’s family, food, memories, and the people we carry with us — both near and far.
Today’s South Asian Wedded Life episode holds space for engagement, family dynamics, Indo-American life, and the emotions that surface when love and legacy meet.
Sending love to everyone navigating the season in their own way.
YouTube @amyregeti is where the entire heartfelt episode is ... head on over! 🎄 Merry Christmas, SAWL family.
There’s something special about engagement celebrations that are kept intimate — they breathe differently.
Bhavya & Jayant’s South Asian Indian engagement celebration at Stone Tower Winery in Leesburg, Virginia was filled with easy laughter, meaningful conversations, and the kind of togetherness that reminds you what these moments are really about.
Stone Tower is such a beautiful fit for smaller, lighthearted gatherings — open spaces, vineyard views, and a natural elegance that doesn’t need overproduction to shine. It’s a place where families can relax, reconnect, and truly enjoy being together.
It was also a pleasure working closely with Bhavya’s mom during the booking process. Her confidence and decisiveness — right from the referral — spoke volumes.
In so many Indian and Indian-American families, parents thoughtfully vet vendors while couples juggle school, residencies, fellowships, and demanding careers. When trust is there, everything flows exactly as it should.
Authenticity always wins.
The laughter, the smiles, the memories — and the promise of what’s still to come. 🤍
