3/8 Jahnnavi and Sameer – Haldi Ceremony – Lansdowne Resort, Leesburg, Virginia

Haldi Celebrations with Jahnavi and Sameer at Lansdowne Resort and Spa! This family stayed in ordinance with typical Indian Andra culture as they prepped for their hadli/pithi ceremony as their official cleansing in preparation for their marriage. Often enough, this becomes a time of gathering, celebration, fun, laughter, and a little bit of payback at times! We have seen many different Haldi ceremonies where cousins and siblings are on a mission of their own to give a little respectable love right back. The beauty of photographing the Haldi celebrations and the act of doing it is having it in its purest form and held in a location of beauty in the outdoors. Jahnavi’s Dad left no detail out when planning Jahnavi’s events alongside their planner Mr. Sumeet Bagai of Dream Shaadi, and the end captured results didn’t disappoint. While we do understand that it’s not always the case that weather and location make it possible to do these ceremonies outdoors, the end result is undoubtedly a win-win for the client and photographer.
