Fun and fancy free at the Fairmont is a great way to describe Michelle and Michael’s beautiful simplistic wedding at the beautiful Fairmont Hotel here in Washington DC. Bob and his special events staff are always on top of their game throughout every event leading to a flawless execution to all that we have attended.

The Jewish like the Indian community is rather tight and often enough I tell clients when we are not shooting Indian events we are most likely covering a Jewish event! I think some of that is because I understand that bit of clientele and the importance of imagery not only to those cultures but those clients and their parents. The similarities in Indian and Jewish weddings are also very much alike because they revolve mostly around food and family primarily. I admire that within our Indian and Jewish families preservation of all things memorable are important and invaluable to them as time unfortunately flies by faster than we realize until we look back on images and realize it’s been years since their capture, their respects to the elders remains truly tethered and always foremost important to the generations that have come after them. These are always events that tend to bring out a bit of emotion, I believe because the grandparents in a lot of respects always remain the matriarchs of these families.

Michelle and Michael’s ceremony was held in one of the smaller rooms on the lower level which allowed for the ballroom reception setup to go on uninterrupted and not rushed like most events where the ballroom will often be flipped after the ceremony, this allowed for more attention to be given to the details executed by EVOKE! out of DC.

Mid-reception a sweets cart was rolled onto the dance floor to refuel their guests with a little sugary power snack and to end the night with a bang all guests exited with a personal pizza!
