Nikki and Will at The Westfields Marriott in Chantilly, Virginia.

Young and in love. It’s the best experience you will ever have the opportunity of knowing if you’re one of the lucky ones to be blessed with it. Thus enters Nikki and Will! These two amazing souls have been together for several years 6 or 7 I think and from their families point of view this wedding was long overdue! Nikki was just stunning.

One thing that I felt was so special on Nikki’s wedding day was that she got ready in her bedroom at her parents place and let me tell you, PURPLE is Nikki’s color! It was just awesome for us as it was the first time we have photographed the bride getting ready in her very own bedroom and it was priceless and heartfelt!

Anyone who know Nikki and Will or have had the opportunity to meet them can’t help but be inebriated by their love for each other. The way that they glance and look at each other just conveys that they have been in love for what could be defined as forever. And now finally they are husband and wife!

On a side note: They had one of the most awesome priests that we have ever met, so it is a sure sign that their life is going to be filled with much love laughter and lots of happily ever afters. You have to appreciate a priest that appreciates and wants to play with your gear! And not to forget some honorable mention that Nikki’s mother made her dress and Bridesmaids gowns! Impressive I must say!

How I missed this one! Big shoutouts to Holly Chapple and her team for the flowers, stunning and beautiful as always! She is a great find ladies 😉

Today I’m sharing something close to my heart —

Swapna & Hari’s engagement ceremony and everything this moment truly means in a Hindu/South Asian family.

Their celebration took place at a small clubhouse with only their closest people, and honestly? Those intimate spaces are where you see a family’s truth… the love, the expectations, the tenderness, the growth — all without the noise.

So many people outside our culture don’t realize this, but a Hindu engagement ceremony isn’t just a “party.”

It’s the moment two families formally bless the union.
It’s the first public acknowledgement of the couple.
It’s promises made with elders present.
It’s tradition meeting the future.

Some families celebrate it quietly.
Some turn it into a mini wedding reception.
But the heart behind it never changes.

And watching Swapna & Hari together… it was like watching poetry before it learned to speak.

Sahana & Reed’s Christian ceremony at Outlook at Saddleridge was one for the books — not just because it followed their Hindu ceremony earlier that morning, but because this couple embraced every unexpected moment with so much grace and laughter.

Three rain resets, soaked chairs, heroic venue staff, an all-star planner (@planned.celebrations), and a bridesmaid who accidentally almost took out the pastor right before the first kiss 😅 — this day had it all.
