Halloween 2009: Why is everyone calling me “Dorothy” ?

Many of our curious clients are just dying to see… as they ask “What will the Regeti’s kids be?” This year we left the neighborhood for a much needed get-a-way and went to see Mumum, Nanny and Pop-Pop for Halloween! They tend to get all crazy and dress up, Nanny most often as a “Witch” and Pop-Pop the “Great Magician” always stealing the show! Bhavika (Dorothy below.) was so adorable as she kept coming back saying to us “Why is everyone calling me Dorothy?” it was so cute to hear her say that because she has only seen the “Wizard of Oz” maybe 2 times in her whole 5 years of life. Unfortunately, for us this may be our last year to really be able to sway her as to what to dress up as before she determines it on her own. These days as we watch our children grow like weeds and all the time slip away from us we cannot help but try to absorb all the moments we possibly can, one of them being “Halloween, Trick-or-Treating”. After being at the studio this morning from 9-12pm with our studio “BOO! WHO ARE YOU!” sessions we were ready to come home and start the day with our little ones.

This is a poem we wrote for our kids hoping that once they are grown and go back through the blog to reflect they will be able to know how very much we love every single moment we have had as their parents:

Quickly these days are going to fade,
while new ones are made.
Eager to watch our little ones grow,
saddened when it starts to show.

As their light begins to shine so bright,
we as parents will always long for just one more night.
The pleasant greeting in the mornings and afternoons,
once they arrive home from school,
eager to share their knowledge from the day.

One day right after the other soon it is that we discover,
it is us as parents who will undyingly love each one of them
forever.
