This is the sign of an RP Bride! It was really important to Laura and Matt to have their ceremony in front of family and friends out doors. Being Catholic this obviously is not permitted by the church, however the two of them were able to take their vows on Friday at the church with the Priest, officially being married in the church as required by the Catholic faith, allowing for them to have a ceremony performed on Saturday in front of family and friends in the gardens of the beautiful Omni Shoreham by the same family Priest.
Lately we have had such a tough round with church weddings due to the restrictions that they put into place with the photographers because of perhaps bad experiences that they may have had in the past. While understandable we truly believe that it is important that each church make an effort to become more familiar with vendors that are less obtrusive whom respect the church and the sacredness of the wedding ceremony who are able to document the event properly capturing those important moments yet staying unobtrusive as possible. We were starting to feel that unless your Catholic, why would you even want to be married in a church? It is obvious that with our last 3 Christian ceremonies all 3 of the “church ladies” have deeply saddened/upset our clients by imposing last minute restrictions on the ability of all their professionals hired to capture and document their ceremony. We can’t even say how happy we were that Laura and Matt took this one outdoors, although I have to say thier Priest was pretty COOL anyway! But then again it’s never the Priest, just the “church lady”.
Between the awesome couple and wonderful staff at the Omni we were blessed with a recipe for a wonderful event! Even the Lord above gave us weather totally worthy of a wedding to be had outside, how is that for a blessing in itself! Thanks so much Laura and Matt for choosing us to capture such an important day in both of your lives, without saying we were honored that we were the chosen ones!
All the best to you both as we look forward to keeping in touch!
