Chapple presents “Baby Grace”

We are so honored and privileged to be the first photographer to photograph “Baby Grace”. It is so important to get infants in their early days in order to get real images of them in the fetal position before they are out there saying “Hello world I am here to stay!”. Thanks to Holly and her family we had a wonderful Sunday morning as we had all the kids together theirs and ours! It was a blast and the studio this morning was rockin’. If only every day could be so relaxing. Holly of course brought this super cute basket for the baby to have her first portraits taken in and let’s just say she certainly has the Chapple spirit in her for the florals… she is totally the next Preston Bailey in the making for sure, only hotter! Much love, hugs, kisses and congrats to the Chapple Family!

For me, it was the outsider who somehow became the interpreter — the person South Asian brides turn to when they’re carrying more than they can say out loud.

It’s taken nearly 30 years inside this culture, loving it, learning it, laughing with it, and growing through it…
but I wouldn’t trade a single lesson.

This one broke my heart… and shook something deeper.

When I read about the tragic killing of Spc. Sarah Beckstrom, I felt grief —
but like so many brown and immigrant families, I also felt fear.

The man who took her life was brown.

And history has taught us exactly what happens next.
Backlash.
Suspicion.
Stereotypes.
Innocent families paying for one man’s evil.
