Either way they’re both just as great as the other! We had the privelidge of being present during Kate and Nicole’s commitment ceremony in Dupont at the beautiful Women’s Democratic Club. We remember so vividly when we met and were contacted the first time by Kate as she really wanted us to photograph her and Nicole’s commitment ceremony, so much so that dates were even changed and reconsidered to do so. Talk about pressure! I think that Kate and Nicole were just as nervous as we were leading up to their consultation with us, not so much because they were having a same sex marriage, but from our side more so because we knew how much Kate loved our work and we did not want to let her down. Having never documented a commitment ceremony we wanted to be sure that we could do their images the justice they deserved without feeling as if we weren’t conveying their feelings and personalities within the images we captured. After we met with them it was obvious that Kate and Nicole were definitely a good fit and that we would have no problem covering their ceremony just as it unfolded. They were both surrounded by friends and family who had traveled from near and far to witness their commitment to one another and Srinu and I cannot remember the last time we were at such a happening party where it was non-stop on the dance floor with a live band that we absolutely loved! Total shout out to them Dan Haas was the band and they were just awesome. Thanks so much to you both for entrusting us with your memories, we are looking forward to keeping in touch!
