Joshua + Alissa = RP’s 1st Jewish Wedding!

Totally ROCKED for us as we officially have not had a completely full blown out Jewish wedding (at Ritz-Carlton, Tyson’s Corner) until now! And we LOVED it, the families, the couple, the festivities! Talk about laid back, can’t get any better than this we say. Alissa was such a delight to photograph as her and Josh both just wanted great shots. That always makes it so much easier for us when the couples prioritize where and how they want to spend their time and stick to it.

Sue Gould their wedding planner was tentative and helpful. It was our first time working with her and we hope to be able to work with her much more in the future as well. The Ritz Carlton in Tysons Corner was the venue in which they were married at and like always they never let you down when it comes to presentation of everything. Plants Etc. out of Potomac handled the decor of the room. Her stunning dress was that from Priscilla of Boston who as we all know has a truly stunning collection. Last but not least the band who we just love, love, love and always look forward to working events with is that of the famous and awesomely talented Black Tie Band, their booking agent we believe is Washington Talent for those of you still looking for entertainment for your wedding. Not only do they provide the music, but sing it solely and participate keeping the crowd on the dance floor and always engaged!

We simply had an awesome time with the family, saw a few old faces of our past clients Adrian and Susan who many know of as the striking blonde bride who was applying make-up in the limo with the very vivid blue light coming in from the background. That is probably always going to be a classic for RP. We also were able to meet Joshua’s sister Kelen Coleman (one of the bride’s maid) who you may know from CSI NY, looks like you may also be seeing her in a few upcoming movies as well so keep your ears and eyes open!

Back to our newly weds, drum roll please for our stunning little duo!

Sundays were made for slowing down… and for tuning back into you.

If the week has been full of opinions, expectations, or decisions that feel heavier than joyful, consider this your gentle reminder: you’re allowed to pause. You’re allowed to breathe. And you’re absolutely allowed to plan a wedding that feels like yours at its core.

This little moment from Rituals & Reflections always feels right on a day like today:

“Your wedding will ask many things of you — patience, presence, compromise…
but the one thing it will never take from you is your voice.”

So if today is your planning day, give yourself permission to approach it with clarity, calm, and softness.

And if you ever need a little guidance along the way… We’re right here. ✨

Rituals and Reflections with The Regeti's is available NOW on Amazon for purchase.

This one broke my heart… and shook something deeper.

When I read about the tragic killing of Spc. Sarah Beckstrom, I felt grief —
but like so many brown and immigrant families, I also felt fear.

The man who took her life was brown.

And history has taught us exactly what happens next.
Backlash.
Suspicion.
Stereotypes.
Innocent families paying for one man’s evil.

So in today’s episode of SAWL, I opened up a conversation that so many have quietly held inside:

💔 Why tragedies like this hit brown families differently
💔 The fear of being blamed for something you had NOTHING to do with
💔 What it means to raise brown children in moments like this
💔 And why we must not let this spark more hate

If you’ve ever felt this fear — or if you’re hearing it for the first time —
you need to watch this one.
