RP Update

So you are wondering what has happened to The Regeti’s!!! Well we are here, catching up on a lot of lost sleep none the less however our little mini-vacation here has been packed full of wonderful moments as the holiday season approaches and the kid’s class parties kick into play and our parently duties have to kick into action we attend our oldest daughter Brittney’s chorus début… let’s just say it brought back some memories indeed of those chorus days when we would perform at the Mall! Oh my how happy am I that I am not the one on stage, but they did a great job and you could just tell the children were so very happy and proud of the time and effort that the group put into it they were awesome even though towards the end Santa Clause took over on the electric guitar and out did the chorus, but hey let’s just say thank goodness for photographs that tell a moment and a montage that can make the memory!

We also have been working very hard networking with some of the locals here in Warrenton getting to know the town and the people in it during our winter break and are feeling quite accomplished. This evening having shot Steve and Todd’s headshots, who are our neighbors at our Studio. Steve owns his own settlement firm here in Warrenton. We will be photographing Steve, his wife and 9 children this upcoming Saturday! We are so excited as they are all home schooled and have not recently had any photos taken in a while. His children range from 6 months to 14 years so it should be really fun!!!

And now for the update as many of you have been waiting… our bunny drama! Today the first two have finally opened their eyes as they are all beginning to hoppity hop around! Instinct is also kicking in as they are now hoping over to the potty area of the cage and going potty and some of their eyes aren’t even open yet! Okay so who can say these little critters aren’t just adorable! Although the drawback is that Momma isn’t so friendly these days and some say that she will return to her normal state once the bunnies stop nursing. I hope so, as we were really enjoying her. It looks like we are also getting quite attached to two of the little ones but inevitably will have to take the one’s that are still left back to the pet shop sometime right before Easter, hopefully they will be able to find them all happy suitable homes!

Recap of Abigail + Corey's Wedding
I know, I know — everyone wants candids these days, and we love those too. But look at this moment. Someone asked for this photo. Maybe it was mom. Maybe it was the bride herself, thinking ahead to the day this hangs above the fireplace.

Here's what decades of doing this has taught us: nobody remembers to ask for the posed shots in the moment. They're too busy living the day. That's our job — to know which ones matter before you do, and to make sure you have them when you're looking back in year 10, not just scrolling in year one.

Whose photo like this do you still have hanging up?

Tell us in the comments, or DM us if you're planning and want to talk through what shots matter most for your family.

Caught this guy sneaking through our tripod legs in literally a split second — and honestly? He earned his own spot on the feed. The greenery collar, those eyes, the little bit of ceremony chaos happening just out of frame... this is why we always keep our cameras ready between the "official" shots.

Every wedding has a moment like this if you're paying attention. Got a four-legged member of your wedding party? Tell us about them in the comments — we want to hear!
The real question to ask is to train or not to train... but honestly, sometimes a girl just has to say yes to the train! 😄 That sweep down the aisle, dad's steady arm, mom walking equally just beside her because gender roles are becoming less and less of a thing, and this Momma earned every step — this is the kind of walk that takes years to get to and mere seconds to happen. This has been life for us for 21 years now and we still love capturing it, poof and all.

Got a dress with drama we need to document? Let's chat — drop a comment or DM us to talk about your big day!

This is what happens the second the photo is 'done' — the boys pile in and it turns into a full wrestling match of love. He's trying to keep his composure, they're absolutely not letting him, and this is the shot we snagged. The posed photo is nice, but THIS is the one that gets framed.

This shot stopped me in my tracks. There's a whole wedding party moving around them, string lights overhead, everyone laughing and talking at once — and these two are just looking at each other like the rest of the world hit pause. That's the moment I'm always chasing. You can pose a group all day long, but you can't fake this.

This is why we shoot the way we do — staying ready for the split second when the noise fades and it's just them. Got a wedding coming up and want photos that feel this real? Send us a DM, we'd love to hear about it.

What if I told you he won her over with a little bit of puppy love? It's true — this good boy showed up in his own greenery collar and absolutely stole the show (and every heart at this wedding, including mine). I love when couples bring their pets into the day, because that's family too, and years from now this is the photo that'll make them laugh and tear up all at once.

Got a four-legged family member who needs to be part of your wedding day? Let's talk — DM us or book a consult and we'll make sure they get their moment too.

Florals do SO much more than look pretty in photos. The blooms a couple chooses — the colors, the texture, whether it's a wild garden-gathered look or clean and structured like this one — tell us (and every guest, and every future viewer of these photos) exactly what kind of day this was. This bouquet? Classic, soft, a little romantic with all that trailing greenery. You can feel the whole wedding just from these flowers in her hands.

We notice this stuff because it matters — florals photograph completely differently depending on light, venue, even time of day. It's one of the many little things we're paying attention to on your wedding day. Curious what we'd notice at yours? Drop a comment or send us a DM 👇
