Raj + Rajul : Meridian – Andrew Mellon Auditorium – Washington DC

Raj and Rajul are the kind of couple that definitely plan and project (South Asian Wedding at Meridian house, followed by reception at Andrew Mellon Auditorium in Washington DC) a sense of style in everything that they do. Together they are pretty much unstoppable! When you meet Raj you quickly will come to know that he is very laid back and definitely a person who like to please everyone around him. Rajul compliments that as she is quiet, soft and very easy going.

Their wedding day turned out to be one of the most relaxed and laid back events in the history of all our events to be honest. The pace of their day was calm and relaxing and yet they graciously gave time for all things important throughout the day.

Come to think about it right down to the planning of thier wedding day it was all about what worked with our schedules… that is crazy, but not without a lot of love to them both. Congrats to the newlyweds, we look forward to seeing you at many more functions!

That`s Radha, feeding me cake like I was one of her own kids at this wedding - she would not let me walk away without eating it. This is the same woman who used to send me home with fresh baked bread and chocolate chip cookies for my kids, they would refer to her as the "Chocolate Chip Auntie." We photographed both of her sons` weddings and more family celebrations than I can count. Her home always felt like ours the second we walked in.

Radha passed away, and finding this photo again just about broke my heart. Her smile, her hugs, her hot bread and warm cookies - we will never forget any of it. To her children, Shalini, Sharad and Nitin - we love you guys, and so much of her lives on in you.
