Running against the hands of time and the down pour of rain we arrived at the Airlie for Megan and John’s wedding only to be told that their ceremony had in fact been moved in due to the storms headed our way. Certainly we were not going to let this get in the way of them having some great shots! With the couple having agreed to see one another before hand we were able to knock out quite a few great shots of everyone before we all had to begin singing the “Rain, Rain, Go Away!” song. It was so hot and muggy and against the bride’s better judgement she toughed it out by heading outside for some beautiful shots. Even though not at the time too thrilled about heading outdoors for some photo time with family, friends, bridal party, and the new hubby to be Megan was a trooper as we tuckered her out for all that she could withstand! But goodness it was so worth it!
We had the pleasure of working with not only this truly wonderful couple and their family, but a few new locals as well, Joan Day Weddings and Jason with Market Salamander for the wonderful cake! Other than hearing how the bride and groom met (that is the story for them to tell!) the next best treat of the evening was the awesome candy table that they had set up to send their guests off with a sweet treat!
