Okay many apologies for the delay in posting as we have had many things happening here at Regeti’s! Many exciting things to officially announce to include our new location! The Regeti’s are growing, our expansion proves it!
We have lots to blog about but tonight we are going to give the spot light to Josh and Shejal, one of the most happiest married couples we have had the pleasure of working with!
As many of us probably were watching the weather report together I am sure everyone knows that hurricane Hanna swept through the east coast and let me tell you that we were worried!!! Out of all the weddings that this could have happened to, it happened to Shejal and Josh who planned out just about everything possible with their wonderful coordinator Claudia Lutman to ensure a flawless affair, little did any of us realize that “God” above at any rate can not be purchased, the one little detail that we did not imagine could take place is a HURRICANE! Being in Baltimore and right near the Harbor the winds were ridiculous. Upon arriving to Shejal’s bridal suite at the Colonnade Inn you could see in her face that she was feeling a bit stressed and worried about the weather considering that their wedding was to take place under this beautiful massive tent at the Evergreen Museum and it was just pouring down non-stop. By the time we began taking group shots and formals it did however let up a bit until we arrived on site at Evergreen then another phase came in shortly after and calmed once more, just after Josh finished coming in and right before Shejal began to take her walk to meet Josh it began to pour for what was thankfully the very last time for that day! As the wind pounded back and forth on the side walls of the tent, I don’t think anyone really noticed as the two proceeded into a fused Hindu-Christian ceremony. Josh as he said his vows began to break as he briefly regrouped and carried on through to the end. Many would think that seeing a wedding almost every weekend out of the year would cause a person to become numb to their surroundings, however I think that we would beg to differ. We are so much aware of everything around us and the love that is so strong within the air that it almost could be bottled and labeled “love” as corny as that may sound. When they were announced and took on the dance floor it was like watching “High School Musical” they make such music together as you watched them dance in beat with one another as Josh lip sang the words and Shejal grooved along side of him. It was enough to make one put down the camera and grab the popcorn and soda pop and hope that they never stopped. These, ladies and gentlemen, are the moments we shoot for, these are the weddings that throw our own hearts into overdrive and inspire our own love to grow, so when some say that you can become numb to it… I think that it is safe to say that love is like wisteria it just grows so rapidly and can consume a person so much that it becomes more of a high, as wedding photographers that is addictive, we say bring it on!
Thanks to Shejal and Josh for entrusting us with the documentation for their wedding day and to Claudia Lutman for sending such an awesome referral our way!
