Shannon & Ross, Norcross, GA.

Well we are back and will be blogging images from the wedding before Shannon and Ross’ wedding once we have been given permission from the client, however we were just too anxious to get some of these images up while they are still hot off the press!

Shannon and Ross gave us the honor of hiring us to shoot their wedding in GA this past weekend and man was it hard to return! All that southern hospitality was very hard to walk away from. I think Georgia is one of the most polite places we have ever traveled to as of yet in the States. The beautiful historic venue Flint Hill was full of small town character and the staff was definitly on their game the whole time. I had the pleasure of spending time speaking with their Reverend, Rev. Deanna D. Lancaster and she was just the most pleasant of all! Alice the coordinator in charge was another southern belle that we had the pleasure of spending time with. The DJ from Black Tie Events kept the crowd alive with his talent as well! Thanks again to family, friends, and the residents of Georgia for allowing us to be graced with their presence.

We cater to a wide variety of clientele from the ballroom bride to the grand garden bride, but Shannon and Ross’ wedding was unique in the sense that her father was represented and honored through this one single candle that was lit and kept burning throughout. For the first time in quite some time we were reminded of the many things that we should all be grateful for in life and that is love.

Shannon and Ross we wish you two an eternity of love, peace, and happiness as you start your married life together. To you and your families we wish you all the best!

Here’s the quiet truth no one tells guests before an Indian or Indian-American wedding:

You’re not just watching.
You’re participating.
Not with choreography or rituals — but with presence.

Indian weddings move differently.
They breathe differently.
They carry meaning in moments that don’t announce themselves.

When guests arrive expecting efficiency, cues, or constant explanation, tension builds — and the couple feels it.

What actually matters?
Respect.
Patience.
Openness.
That’s it.

This post isn’t about rules or etiquette.
It’s about showing up with curiosity instead of expectations — and why that one shift changes everything for the couple at the center of it all.

There’s what you see on wedding day.
And then there’s everything that makes us the photographers we are.

This channel is where we share the in-between —
the building, the learning, the late nights,
the marriage that has carried us through nearly two decades of photographing other people’s love stories.

We’re still very much in weddings.
Still shooting.
Still telling stories.
Still showing up for our couples.
But here, you’ll also see how we live, work, problem-solve, and grow together behind the camera —
because who we are off a wedding day shapes how we show up on one.

If you’re planning a wedding,
work in the wedding industry,
or simply love honest conversations about partnership, creativity, and building a life together —
you’ll fit right in.

Christmas in America is culture as much as it is tradition 🤍

It’s family, food, memories, and the people we carry with us — both near and far.

Today’s South Asian Wedded Life episode holds space for engagement, family dynamics, Indo-American life, and the emotions that surface when love and legacy meet.

Sending love to everyone navigating the season in their own way.

YouTube @amyregeti is where the entire heartfelt episode is ... head on over!
🎄 Merry Christmas, SAWL family.
