Happy Birthday Brittney and Brijesh !

While we have four children two boys and two girls ages 10,5,4, and 2 this month we are celebrating two of their birthdays! Just when you think life slows down long enough to breathe something like a child’s birthday approaches and reminds you of not only the gift we have been given but how old we are becoming. Brittney our oldest daughter turned 10 on September 4th, Yes my good friends that was Labor Day! And Brijesh our youngest son turned 4 on September 14. Needless to say even though it is not our youngest daughter Bhavika’s birthday or our oldest son Bradley’s birthday we still would never exclude them out of a photograph 😉 So for those of you who always email or ask to see our children here they are again as we can never post enough of them!

We are on Instagram
After a heartfelt conversation with close family friends this week, one truth stayed with us:

The world is changing — but adapting doesn’t mean abandoning who we are.
Multicultural families everywhere are trying to balance tradition, identity, and the pace of a world that never slows down.

Today over at The Regeti's & SAWL blog we unpack that with love, honesty, and a whole lot of understanding the world we know can evolve.

Some moments don’t make it into the timeline — but they make it into your heart.

During a South Asian fusion wedding, the bride’s grandmother sat quietly near a window, watching her granddaughter laugh in the next room. When I asked if she was okay, and she said to me:

“These weddings… they are not only for the young. They are for us too. To see that our children’s children are going to be okay.”

That’s when I realized: weddings aren’t just celebrations.
They’re cultural handoffs.
And moments like these are why we do what we do.
